Redemption is book #5 in Baldacci's Amos Decker series. Amos, who has a perfect memory due to a brain injury, is a consultant for the FBI. In this book, he has returned to his hometown to visit family graves. While in the cemetery he is confronted by the first murder suspect of his career. The man asks Decker to look at the case again. Decker begins digging into the old case and more people start to die.
This was a typical David Baldacci suspense thriller. And there is not one thing wrong with that.

The Fix by David Baldacci, 432 pages
"The Fix" is book #3 in Baldacci's Amos Decker series. Amos and his FBI crew are back. This time, instead of working on a cold case, they work to solve a murder that happened right in front of Amos. The team ends up in an uneasy alliance with an agent from the Defense Intelligence Agency as they all work together to solve the crime, or do they?
I enjoyed listening to this book. It was a thriller that kept me entertained throughout.

Nemesis by Catherine Coulter 384 pages
This is another great FBI thriller from Catherine Coulter. Sherlock and Savich split up to take on the bad guys in this latest edition in their series. Lacey Sherlock is just trying to get home when a man in the airport security line pulls out a grenade and threatens to blow everyone sky high. Sherlock diffuses the situation, gets the bad guy in custody but that is only the beginning of her adventures in New York as she becomes entangled in the mystery of why this mild mannered man from England, with a wife and children would attempt this act of terrorism. Now Sherlock must solve the puzzle before his family become victims also. And who is trying to blow up St. Patrick's Cathedral?
Meanwhile, Savich becomes involved with some witches when he tries to find out why 2 normal, happy guys with bright futures would stick a knife into their friends' hearts and then not remember anything. Let's just say, it comes to Savich in a dream. Oh my, you will have to read to figure this one out!

This latest FBI thriller by Catherine Coulter features the duet of Brit turned agent Nicholas Drummond and his partner Michaela (Mike) Caine. By the end of the day, Nicholas faces a hearing because 2 more are dead on his watch, by his hand. But that becomes the least of their worries. Somehow, some way, a submarine from WWI holds the key, literally, to the future safety of the world and Nicholas and Mike must find it before the mad Manfred Havelock. Hang on to your seats! This one is a page turner!

Power Play by Catherine Coulter 391 pages
This is the next great installment in the Sherlock and Savich FBI series. It does not disappoint. Blessed Blackman has escaped and is determined to get Sherlock as revenge for the loss of his mother. Not only that, but the Ambassador to England, Natalie Black, had returned to the U. S., her job in jeapordy. But if the rumors are true and she had had to leave her post in disgrace, why is someone trying to kill her and targeting her daughter, Perry, in the United States. Good thing hunky Special Agent Davis Sullivan is on the case. This is a definite page turning thriller.

Invisible by James Patterson and David Ellis 399 pages
In typical James Patterson fashion, this book is a real page turning thriller! Emmy Dockery lost her twin sister, Marta, in a fire. Using her talents as a FBI research analyst, she has a theory that a string of fires across the US, including the one that killed Marta, are not accidental at all, but the work of a killer. Just when Emmy and her FBI team think they are on the right track, the arsonist throws in a twist. Intertwined in the story are excerpts from the killer's "Graham Sessions", detailing the murder. Just one part of the book that will leave you on the edge of your seat! This book has more twists and turns than a ride at Worlds of Fun. Fasten your seat belts and hang on!

The Chase by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, 320 Pages
I read all of Janet Evanovich's books. I often complain after reading them, but it doesn't stop me from reading the next one. Snarkily I wonder how much of this book is Janet and how much is Lee?
I can say I really enjoyed listening to this one. "The Chase" is the second in the Fox and O'Hare series. Fox being Nicholas Fox, suave con man extraordinaire and O'Hare being Kate O'Hare, a straight laced FBI agent.
In the first book we learned that Kate spent several years chasing Nick and when she finally caught him the FBI broke him out of jail so he could help catch other criminals. Now, Kate is secretly partnered with Nick, while publicly still trying to catch him.
The story was a rousing adventure with humor and lots of fun suspense. This is not deep literature, but I had a fun weekend cleaning the house and working in the yard and following Kate, Nick and their zany crew as they went after the bad guys.

The Final Cut by Catherine Coulter 449 pages
This is a fast paced thriller that takes the reader from New York to Washington D. C. to Paris to London and points beyond. It is a quick read due to the short chapters and the fact that it is hard to put down. The Koh-i-Noor diamond is on display at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Queen Mother's Crown, on loan from England. Inspector Elaine York, sent to guard the Crown Jewels is found murdered. Her partner, Nicholas Drummond comes to help the FBI investigate her murder....and the thrill ride begins. An international art thief, known as the Fox, is behind the theft. FBI Special Agent Michela (Mike) Caine joins with Drummond as they lay their lives on the line, several times, to retrieve the diamond. In fact, their efforts are almost super-human. Barely excaping a bomb blast one day, out of the hospital and back on the trail the next, only to be shot at, etc!
I enjoyed the thrill ride but was a little disappointed in the
Sci-fi/Fantasy aspect of this book. I know Catherine Coulter writes the occaisional romance, but personally, I wish she would just stick to her FBI thrillers.
