A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams 368 pages

This is a fast paced book with the two young main characters, Lily and Budgie (I know, really? Budgie) in college when we meet them.  The story moves quickly through romances and betrayals and separations and reunions.  The story is set in 1938 so there are social customs of courtship and propriety to be dealt with, as well as the issue of religious discrimination.  There is passion and betrayal and a lot of innuendo in the dialogue, which is always fun.  The lineage of one of the characters is in question throughout most of the book and the big reveal is quite something.

This is just a good juicy read.
