She travels to England to assassinate the man responsible for this disaster. However, after being nearly assassinated herself, she is transported to 1815 England! Mistaken for a Lady's maid, she relies on her knowledge of history to survive. Soon, though, she is able to use her skills and knowledge to help catch a serial killer. Spoiler alert!! This is the first in a series and a cliff hanger. Well worth the read.
