The First Rule by Robert Crais 389 pages

Four gunman make a huge mistake when they break into the home of Frank and Cindy Meyer, executing the whole family, including their nanny.  Frank was one of Joe Pikes men, back when he was a mercenary.  The police think the crimes are just the latest in a series of home break-ins, linked to targets with large stashes of money or drugs, but it angers Pike to think his long time friend, Frank, might be involved in such dealings. And you do not want to make Pike angry.  Pike calls the rest of the crew together and believe me,  there is hell to pay for the murder of their friend and his family.  This is an action packed, fast paced thriller.  I am a new fan of Robert Crais and I highly recommend his books.
