Library series. A note from the author at the beginning makes it clear that all the other titles to follow may be read in any order. The first one is the only one that needs to be read before others. I really enjoyed listening to this one. I think it would appeal to kids who like a bit of scary and a bit of mystery in 3rd grade and up.
