The Chocolate Heart by Laura Florand 100 pages

Okay, this book actually has 352 pages but I could only get through the first 100.  What? you say!  This book was reviewed as "Sensual and Sweet, a story that melts in your mouth", "funny, sexy, sweet"....Uh, NO!  This book is about " a spoiled brat" ( and this term is used frequently throughout the book), Summer Corey.  Summer is an heiress who has spent the last 4 years on a tropical island teaching the native children.  Her father brings her back to Paris, gives her a hotel as a gift but bargains that if, after 90 days, she still wants to go back to the island, she may.  Luc LeRoi is the world famous and gorgeous Chef Patissier at the hotel and he tries to seduce Summer with his chocolate creations.  She refuses each one, saying she does not eat sweets.  Actually, she has an eating disorder.  What really turned me off about this book was the constant use of the word control.  In the first 100 pages some form of this word was used 50 times.  Between "spoiled brat" and "control", there was little room for other words. What a disappointment!  The book I thought would be a perfect Valentine book was NOT!  This is a definite "I do not reccomend"!
