Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins 400 pages

This is the third and final book of The Hunger Games series. I have to say, I could have stopped with the first book in the series. I did enjoy listening to this book, but I was not happy with it. Yes, there is the big fight scene and people die, but there was just something about it that did not work for me.

There were multiple times in which I thought Katniss, Peta, or even Gail might die. Twists and turns kept me from turning off the audiobook. Though, I believe the ending to be a sort of cop-out to ending the trilogy by creating a sort of “happy ever after” kind of feeling.

Overall, the book was okay but I probably will not read it again. This was read by Carolyn McCormick.
