Vintage Astor Place: A Novel by Stephanie Lehmann 416 pages

Anyone who loves New York City and stories about the first part of the 20th century should find this book a good read. Amanda Rosenbloom is owner of a vintage clothing shop in NYC and, in sorting through clothing to purchase from a wealthy client, finds a diary written by Olive Westcott in 1907. The book alternates between the stories of Amanda and Olive and includes a good bit of information about the contrasts between life for a woman in NYC in the beginning of the 20th century and present time. The author includes vintage photographs of places mentioned in the book as well.
